Still in the US but hoping to head that way in the next few months so will have to give the Clara a try once I get over there. I would also love the name of that Beach bar though, love me a Strawberry Daquiri.
Until then I just got hooked on the new Corona Sunbrew a delicious citrus flavored beer sold locally in Seattle and its pretty delicious too!
I love this: "Drinks are a quintessential part of all seasons in Spain." So true! I also loved discovering the clara when I first moved here, it's perfect in this (incredibly) hot weather. But, back in the UK, I wouldn't have been caught dead ordering a shandy! I still probably wouldn't, which I don't fully understand, but you have made me ponder on! Love the photo too - it was very, very hot at Pandora on Wednesday, thank you for braving it! x
I thought more about it and it is like a macho thing that has leaked through to everyone else, as tends to happen! Like, a shandy isn't a real drink, therefore if you order one you are some kind of little weakling. English people are weird š
I love that you found a new summer bevvy! I do not think I will try this as I'm a hater of cider and this sounds like turning my delicious beer into a ciderish beer..... (I will say I enjoy cidra from Oviedo but it tastes different than U.S. ciders, because, Spain!). Cheers from your heat worshipping, Spain loving sister!! xoxo
Oh... fave summer drink currently: 2 oz whisky or gin, 2 oz gingerade mix from Izakaya Meiji, 2 oz sparkling water. Serve on ice or up. Woot!
I was, so I'm still hopeful. I found some in Germany, but it was a low sugar version, so it had artificial sweetener (AKA poison that gives me migraines).

The Sunbrew sounds tasty! The beach bar in Valencia is called: Boa Bar. I hope you order a cerveza clara when you're here!
Thank you,I definitely will š

I get that. That belief persists in the Pacific Northwest where Iām from šŗ š
Letās drink more shandy/clara from now and to reverse the macho trend!
Iām in!
Glad you recognize the cerveza clara background! Iām curious to know more about the embarrassment of ordering a shandy⦠š

Give it a try and let me know what you think! The ginger drink sounds tasty š š
Oooh... sounds perfect for a hot day. Usually don't drink beer unless it tastes like fruit so loving the lemon idea.
Marci this is the drink for you! Buy a lager and a lemon soda, chill everything, and let me know how it goes!
Excited to try it. (Hopefully before this rare heatwave leaves Ireland.) Thanks, Rachel!
Oh no, Iām sorry to hear itās hot in Ireland too. I hope the cerveza clara will cool you down šŗ š
I've spent the last 3 weeks trying (unsuccessfully) to find Lemon Fanta. Sounds like I have another reason to visit Spain!
Oh no, itās a summer staple! Were you able to get it in Poland before?

I guess weāll see you in Spain soon⦠š
